Just a small question...

Does anyone know where I can find Keldorn's soundset to use for a Paladin? I found it in a pack with other NPC's at Sorcerers.net but it's edited(I want the original, not edited). I've already checked the links for soundsets on Dundee's sticky thread BTW but had no luck. Cheers!

http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors6.htm

there is a bg2 sound pack in that page..huge download, 18 megs...

Thanks Userfriendly, I downloaded that soundpack earlier and it's edited so basically all the features of it that define a Paladin have been removed so the soundset can be used for "non-good" characters. I'm looking for a non edited Keldorn soundset. I tried using it anyway and it wasn't bad but two of the phrases repeat making it very annoying. I think Blackmagic games might have Keldorn's soundset but it's down at the moment!

So many portrait sites on the net but NO decent soundset ones it's very annoying!

Easy.
You go to teambg.net, get Winbiff and ISC, unzip Keldy's soundset to another folder (I believe he's in NPC soundsets... Do a search for "Keldorn" and .wav {I *think*} files... if that doesn't work, just look for Keldorn, and find what looks like a sound file)
Then use ISC to listen to the sounds, one at a time, convert them, and rename them to be appropriate. Check the ReadMe file to see what's what, and when you hear "Good is on our side this day!" you name appropriately (Keldorna, I believe), and follow that pattern.
It SOUNDS insanely complicated... but once you get started you'll figure out what I'm trying to say.

<span style="color: lightblue">Even easier than that:
Get Near Infinity. Also get the Java 2 Runtime Environment (linked to from that site) if you don't have it.
Install the Runtime Environment. Double-click on 'NearInfinity.JAR', (if it asks for the Keyfile, navigate to your BG2 folder and select chitin.key) . Click file- Open File; select 'Internal File', type KELDORN , and open all keldorn?.wav files (where ? is any one character) in new windows. Export all of these files to [BG2 folder]\Sounds .

I think there's also a good soundset for an older cleric or paladin at sorcerers.net. I'll try to find a link for it when I get back to my school computer.

Of course, you could always look for .wav files of righteous characters (Westley from Princess Bride, Anthony Andrews' Ivanhoe, etc.) and make your own soundsets. ;)

You know, isolating myself from modern "culture" has been great so far: I have never heard "Mmmmbop" or anything by Christina Aguilera, I don't have to sit through stupid commercials on TV, and I don't get road rage. I also don't really know Simon Cowell: I've heard he's the host of American Idol, a show I've never seen, and that he's an annoying loudmouth who insults everybody. My only expose to him has been from the Wierd Al song, <u>Couch Potato</u>:
"...there's Simon Cowell / who folks wanna disembowel / opens his mouth, always says somethin' foul / they're dying, wow / wannabees are cryin', now / he votes 'em out / time to throw in the towel..."

IMHO, one could do a lot worse than having Wierd Al be one's only link to the outside world....

Annoying only to the contestants. ;) If you hear some (most actually) of them sing, you will come to understand why.

He's British to boot. They have like a culture of razorsharp wit and metaphorical insults. Seeing him in action is a joy to an Eng. Lit. student like me.
