Ok, in the Jysteev's house, there's a locked chest that requires a key that I've never encountered before. Anyone want to spoil me and tell me how to open it, or what's in it, or both? I tried picking everyone's pockets (In the house), but alas, no key.

If you've got ToB, try a wild surge and see if you get the one that opens all locked chests in the area.

Hmm, might have to cheat to do that... though only to satiate my curiosity...

It's a bug: When you're making a map area, you have to assign a "Lockpick Value" to every locked door or chest. In this case, BioWare goofed and assigned that chest a Lockpick Value that is less than zero, meaning the only way you can pick it is (theoretically) drinking enough Potions to send your Lockpick score above 255.

But don't fret. Casting Knock on it will open it--which is also the case for a certain chest in Renal's Guildhall after siding with Bodhi, which suffers from the exact same bug.

And yes, I've informed le Kevin aux BaldurDash about the matter.

Thanks! Just my luck there will only be a gem worth 5 GP in it...

But think how much those 5 GP would be worth in real life

As expesive as common mud.

Fine. I'll give you some common mud, and you give me five gold pieces.

I must be missing something... Which chest and what AR# are you all referring to?

The house where Sir Sarles is a guest.

The house where the Lady can tell you about the Hidden from Jan's subquests.
