well, i m trying to play BG2SoA multiplayer with 3 people. Me, a person who is inside another network (which my PC is a internet gateway of, therefore allowing his computer to see mine but not the other way around. When i try pinging him, i get the router instead. He can ping me tho) and a friend who is on a different internet connection. It seems that BG2 does not allow 2 ppl with the same Ip to play in a multiplayer session or so i think. If anybody knows how the person inside the network can connect to BG2SoA game i m hosting, plz let me know. oh and one more thing, i tried using Gamespy but that also thought that his computer and mine where the same computer, so it didnt work. I also tried TCP/IP protocol.

thanks for any help

hmmh, is you're on a lan yer PC has two IP's methinks, internal and external, I do not know if BG can be adressed from both, since the server is then set up to accept commands from both the external IP (you got from yer ISP) and yer internal IP (the one you have assigned to yerself or the DHCP server has assigned to you inside the network)

network IP's are mostly 192.168.x.y

so what you need to do is have one client try and connect on yer lan IP and the other on yer external IP, I do not know if that'll work, but it's the only thing that comes to mind.

well, whenever i try to do that, it seems to take the ip of my internet connection (becasue my pc is the internet gateway, both the lan pc and mine have the same internet ip) and bg2 then disallows the lan pc from connecting to the server saying "Game is in progress. You can chat with other players..." And then, soon after, it automatically kicks the lan pc out of the game. argh, this is by far the weirdest problem i've had to tackle this year...
