So which class and alignment fits you best in BGII? Also, race?

After 3 or 4 years of playing this game, I say so far I fit the Halfling Male, Neutral Good, Swashbuckler Thief. However, a Swashbuckler is just a Fighter-Thief without a backstab multiplier...

Firstly, I started off with a Human Lawful Good Male Undead Hunter when I started playing BGII. It didn't fit me though, so soon I deleted it and tried the Bard.

I like the Bard, but that doesn't fit me in BGII as well, because I'm more of a Halfling personality-wise, and prefer that race over the others it seems. I did cheat by using Shadowkeeper to play a Halfling bard, but it's not quite the same as in Icewind Dale II, where my Halfling can really be a bard without cheating!

So I moved onto Thief and Ranger. My Chaotic Good Elven Male Ranger ruled, however it didn't fit me quite as well. I tried cheating again but alas, a lack of nice short bows...

The thief worked out, but I wasn't quite sure yet.

So I tried a Elf Male Fighter, mostly because it seemed I could get better stats than with a Halfling Male Fighter. I picked Chaotic Good again. Nice, but once again, not as fun as the Halfling Fighter-Thief or Swashbuckler.

As of today, I'm still going to try each class in BGII I can. Right now, I'm a Neutral Good Human Male Bard. After I'm done with him, I'll try a Neutral Good Elf Mage or Chaotic Good Half-Elf Male Fighter. I seem to fit somewhere between Neutral Good and Chaotic Good, but so far my favorite Class/Alignment/Race is a Halfling Male Neutral Good Swashbuckler or Fighter-Thief (In BGII) and Halfling Male Neutral or Chaotic Good Bard (In Icewind Dale II).

I like 3rd edition rules, because they solve that problem, thanks to the idea of cross-class abilities.

As for what class best fits me, I'd say the bard. I enjoy playing bards PnP, and I can't really see myself wielding a massive sword or tracking animals or having enough spirituality to be in touch with any deity.

Human, *coughfemalecough*, Conjurer Chaotic Neutral...

That's my best fit char.. best fit for me tend's to be the darker side of neutral, cause I'm alway's seeing what's in it for me, while not alway's doing what's best for me, but what make's me look good.. Though if I where realy me, I'd have to change to race to elven, since I'm often desribed as having that look about me (might be the pointed ears)

Illumina Drathiran'ar: Elven female, NG sorceress, Chosen of Eilistraee.
Though I have another char, who is also suited to me:
Ilcress Morina: Elven female, LE Nightcloak/Rogue Chosen of Shar. She's what Illumina could have become had she made different choices and given in to darkness.
Obviously, their lives mirror my own... though they are both used almost exclusively now when I DM, to be Quest-Givers.
As for me, I actually sat down with some friends, and we made character sheets for ourselves. I ended up as elven female, Brd 3/ Drd 3/ Sor 2/ Hrp 1

I haven´t tried enough to say what is mine. Only that my alignment is certainly Chaotic Good, and I prefer humans or dwarfs. Been playing a wizard slayer a lot lately.

LOL [img]smile.gif[/img] it sounds like you start as many games as me! i don't know about best fit but the furthest i've got in the game is with my current (human) swashbuckler dualled to fighter

I am neutral good with lawful tendencies and a bard for sure.In the realms I just know I'd train myself in two-weapon fighting, so I'd be a blade.
