Yay, finished BG2 for the first time after many false starts but umm...couple questions and comments.

Did anyone else find the final battle or 2 just...easy compared to others? seems weird to me...i was expecting something more...climactic. i didn't even have to rest or anything.

on the good side, the transition to ToB seems very seamless. i quite enjoyed that, not being able to figure when one stopped and one began

Try the Improved Final Battle, you may change your mind about it's difficulty. Or try to play it on Insane ;)

The ease of the final battle depends alot on who you have in your party, and what class you're playing. Also, if you took your time and completed most of the quests in SoA, then your party would be a high level for the final battle.

I can say that the final battle is much more difficult with a solo character (I used a solo monk, and it took quite awhile to find a winning strategy)

yeah. i did almost every quest i could find and had every npc in party at some point or another. completed with Paladin PC, minsc, korgan, jan, imoen, viconia

Then there you go. Did you do the "Wish to rest between assaults" thing? That makes it MUCH easier...

nope. didn't rest at all from umm...the 2nd last battle (somewhere elvish, avoiding spoilers) and the end of the game lol.

I thought we were in ToB... Forget it, then. I wouldn't expect you to have Wish

There are plenty of wish scroll's dotted about in SoA, I've got a PC mage, Nalia, Aire and Edwin all to memorise it, though Nalia failed first try but I had a few spare..

Not gone into the battle yet with my no Reload's party, hope no one get's chunked again (lost minsc to dragon chunking)

Dotted about? You mean Watcher's Keep with ToB installed. Or do you mean Limited Wish?
