Inspired by Illumina Drathiran'ar's post in this thread: http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...c;f=2;t=023223
----------------------------------
Some definitions are a perfect match, others come close. I found lots more for Imoen, Jaheria, Viconia, etc. but they weren't as close as the others.

AERIE (Also, eyrie): nest of bird of prey, esp. eagle, or of other bird that builds high up; human residence perched high on mountain.

ANOMEN (Actual word - Anomie): lack of the usual social standards in group or person. Too right, arrogant twit

JAN JANSEN (Actual word - Jansen[ist]): Member of party in RC Ch. esp. in France holding with Jansen the perverseness of the natural human will and it's inability to do good.

MAZZY (Actual word - Mazzard): Wild sweet cherry.

HAER'DALIS (Actual word - Haer'emai): Welcome.

Took me a fair few minutes to look up every single NPC . Hey, if anyone else has anymore, post them here. How about some non-recruitable ones?

UPDATE:
--------

Aran Linvail (Actual word - aran): 1) Wild goat, descendant of Seir the Horite (Genesis 36:28) 2) An ark; their curse.

Renal Bloodscalp (Actual word - renal): Of, relating to, or in the region of the kidneys.

Ribald Barterman (Actual word - ribald): Characterized by or indulging in vulgar, lewd humour.

Edwin: King of Northumbria (England) 617AD - 633AD who ruled as far north as Edinburgh and was converted to Christianity.

Addition to Jan Jansen (Actual word - Jan): One of intermediate order between angels and men.

Cool, though from a psychological point of view, Anomen's arrogance is a defense-mechanism developed from a bad childhood.
