i am running an evil party in order to take bohdi's offer over the shadowthieves. i mp'ed 3 characters for roleplaying purposes as i think the npc options are weak for evil parties. i chose an assassin as lead character with a barbarian and a bard to be teamed with korgan, viconia, and edwin.

played over 2 days only to be told by bohdi that my thieving ties (assassin as lead) were too strong for her to hire me. ugh, 2 days lost.

couple of questions

1) are there any other situations that will prevent bodhi from hiring me?

2) is edwin available if i go with bodhi and don't do the mae var stuff?

don't want to waste another couple of days getting to that point.

I don't know other situations (they shure are...). But I am quite certain that you won't be able to pick up Edwin if you won't do the Mae'Var quest...

You must do the Mae`Var`s quest but once you get Edwin you can work for Bodhi if you wish.

how do i go about working for bodhi if i take the shadowthieves deal? every game i have played, i end up fighting vampires who attack me after telling me i have chosen my side.

Well, just snag Edwin before you get $15,000 and then get to the goal and you should be able to goto the Graveyard and accept Bodhi's offer as long as you're not a theif.

The problem you are having is that your main guy is a thief. Bohdi does not accept thieves at all (in effect, the programmers hard coded in the assumption that you would accept the guildhouse offer, thus essentially joining the Shadow Thieves). Try maybe switching one of the other multiplayer characters (the Barbarian, for example) into the leader slot before going to talk to her. However, if you have already accepted the guildhouse, you may not get away with this.

Personally, if you are dead-set on going with Bohdi, then change your main guy before even talking to Renal Bloodscalp. Do the entire Mae'var quest with your thief as a follower, and the result will be that you will not be offered the guildhouse. This leaves you wide open to join Bohdi.
