1. ok i am starting out a wizard slayer/thief that i will use like a versatile fighter and backstabber and i wonder to which weapons to assign stars to...i was thinking:
DARTS! is this weird or bad? because then the spellfaliure would really get a chance with so many attacks per round! Ill probably use a shield to that...can I use every kind or just the buckler? what about other proficiencies? I kinda like the sound of that lonsword in teh abyss, so longsword is probably what i will go for...or are there other suggestions? maybe that nice dagger with the item upgrade mod that adds multiple damage? 2. Im gonna have this party, probably: Korgan (there we have axes and hammers) Viconia (I guess she will go for a mace of sorts..) Edwin (well...staves but he is no real use in combat, anyway) Yoshimo (with bows and katana, as long he is around) anyone else that should be in the party? im evil! |
Dart is a great choice of weapon, lots of attacks and 'magical' darts with poison/stun ability are abundant.
The other weapon I would consider for the Wizard Slayer/Thief is the humble dagger. There is a rather nice throwing dagger/melee dagger called firetooth... and it does a decent amount of damage as well. Might be worth looking at ;) |
And if you have ToB there is one nice Dart in Watcher`s Keep on the first level.

one? does it return to the throwers hand?
|
Yes it does.
Its called the crimson dart. It functions as a +3 weapon and returns to your hand. Nice eh The only nice thing about the firetooth dagger is that it strikes as a +3 weapon, inflicts extra fire damage AND rolls 2d4 damage instead of the usual 1d4 dagger damage. Both weapons are well worth getting. The Crimson Dart is simple enough to get even for a beginning party just out of Chateau Irenicus. |
