I was just getting my romance with Aerie started and everything was going so well. Then, all of a sudden there was this conversation with her where she went on and on about her wings and how not being able to fly was a wretched existence. I tried all sorts of versions of the conversation, but always ended up with the same result--Aerie telling me to leave her alone.

However, when I check SK, it says my active romance with Aerie is at 1. Does that mean it's still going or am I done? I'm only on chapter 3 for crying out loud! :(

If the AerieRomanceActive is at 1, it is still going. She'll tell you to leave her alone no matter what you say there (however, you still don't want to tell her she's whining; I just tell her she needs to be strong and find the will to survive, and it works fine).

Nope, never told her she was whiny--figured that was the kiss of death! The first time I tried "I'll try to find a way to get them back." Aerie sounded cheesed about that one. Then I tried the "Be strong" version. Got the same reaction. So I tried the "Don't whine" one, and that was just plain baaaaad! So, I went back to the "Be strong" answer and left it at that.

So, I might still have a chance to salvage this?

Basically, as long as you don't tell her to quit whining, you're ok.

Oh, man, really? I dumped Jaheira for Valygar (used Jaheira last time, but played as female PC) and now I'm beginning to wonder if I should have stuck with her. I've heard her romance is a bit buggy, though. Guess I'll have to watch out for Aerie's "moments."

A good training for real life...?

Yep, the last girl I flirted with started complaining about her wings being gone. Right after we got the Geas out of her heart.
