Hi I have been away fore som while from baldurs gate nad thes forums and I missed u all alot.
And was thinking of starting up a new game.
under this time I have fallen in love whit the nordic mythology and was thinking to have a "Viking".
The best woulb be a male human besserker whit alot in strenght and almost none in INT and WIS.
My question is: What npc would fit int o the hole viking them? and what items wepons and armor etc would fitt in?
im not looking for the most powerfull weapon just what would look the coolest on a viking?

Barbarian, axes and small shields...

'nuff said

a pity there arent larger round shields out there

yeh - i was thinking barbarian too - at least if you go with berserker (also good) stick to leather or chain armour - agree with axes but swords would work too and shields would be the right look

NPCs: hmmm...

minsc - definitely if you mainly raid evil ;)
yoshimo - fine - a thief/scout is always a good thing
cernd - kinda a shaman
korgan - definitely
haer d'alis - yes - you've gotta have a bard (and a mage in game terms . . .)

Barbarian would work but "besserker" comes from the nordic mythology. the besserk was an creature that was "riding" you when you got mad. it made you kill evry thing in sight.
hmm I wounder about Minsc and Yoshimo but the other sound good I like the hole Shaman part.

the flame of the north would be an ideal sword from the roleplaying stance.

Another appropriate weapon would be the Warblade, which is also a two-handed sword. Read the description to see why. And don't forget the Hammer of Thunderbolts, as well as its upgraded version Crom Faeyr which, among other things, adds electrical damage. While waiting to get it, there's a lesser hammer called "Borok's Fist" that is simply a Hammer +2 with +1 electrical damage.

Warblade is sold in Ribald's "special stock" which you can only access in Chapter 6. It's a +4 two-handed sword, doing D12+4 damage. Borok's Fist I believe is sold by Ribald in his normal stock in Chapter 2, and I think there may be another one you can find in the Unseeing Eye quest in a secret compartment under the bridge that leads to the diseased priests of the dying god Amanuator. There's countless references on this forum to the Hammer of Thunderbolts and Crom Faeyr; search for info on them if you don't know already.
