Im on the quest to find the book in or under the graveyard im in the 2nd level of the dungeon, with all the egyptian stuff, found the secret door and checked both crypts. One was already looted the other is still intact and "made of stone" as it says in the game. Where am I supposed to find the book that I am looking for??? Any help would be great.

So go after the ones who looted it. Korgan should have said something in that respect. However it may not be very understandable so

The full quest involves a rooftop vist of the copper cornet

i'm fairly sure you can't trigger the quest without korgan - i.e.e you can go visit the tomb but the story won't play out

True. It's Korgan's quest, trying to do it without him is like trying to go on a date all by yourself. Despite being a kick-ass Berserker, Korgan's actually pretty smart (13 INT, I believe): He did all the research as to where to find the book, what it looks like, etc., so you'd have no luck at all trying to find it without him.

Note: This quest can be a bit buggy (although I believe only when you're not fully patched): Sometimes Korgan doesn't speak his lines when he's supposed to. SPOILERS AHEAD

For the quest to be completed, Korgan needs to say his piece at four specific locations:
1- In the tomb at the very end of the south-leading tunnel in the Graveyard District
2- Outside Pimlico's Estate (rub him back & forth across the front of the building until he talks)
3- Inside Pimlico's bedroom
4- On the roof of the Copper Coronet
