I have done the first two quests for the temple of lathander (note i am playing the priest of lathander kit), the first being the sir salis one (yes i got him the good stuff) and two being the retrival of the ring. However, the dude in the temple is all like "you would have made a good priest of lathander had you not chosen another path" and now i'm all like "but i am a p. of lath., it says it on the record sheet!"

Is this right? Surely not!

You have to complete another quest first before you can become a member of Atkathla's Lathander temple.

Here is a hint: Please Morningmaster Arveel (spelling?) first and do what he asks for. This should trigger the rest IIRC.
