does anyone know a mirror or another source? (i'm researching daggers and clubs for yet another character) - ta

In my experience ItemsMart has been unstable for wuite a while. Probably trouble with an unreliable ISP.
You could check at Gamebanshee
or http://mikesrpgcenter.com/bgate2/
Gamebanshee is most exact, but the second has a better overview.

However the best method in my experience still is Shadowkeeper's Item browser.

please don't think i was criticising or anything - i like your site a lot i was just checking wasn't just me really - it always amazes me the talent and effort people put into this sort of thing

Dont worry i didnt take it that way . Although i do like people providing input on my site, otherwise it wouldnt improve. It does take a long time to do (for example the Docks District has 94 screenshots to label and link together) but its a labour of love ;) . I mostly work on it on holidays - i have learned alot while making this site. When i first started i really didnt have a clue about web site building and when i have a look at what i did now i laugh at how much of a newbie i was.
