In BG2 I lost the Note that one of the guilds gives you to get into another part of the guild to catch someone of treatury (the one near the docks in the docks district). Can i still complete the quest? If not how can i sort it?

Quest items should not decay if dropped, so you may be able to find that note lying around somewhere. Failing that, cheat.

The first method you could use is the shadowkeeper program. Just load up your savegame in it and give yourself the note.

The second method is the CLUAConsole. You'll need to activate that, instructions are easy enough to find. You will need to use the command

CLUAConsole:CreateItem("MISC4T")

and it has to be typed /exactly/ like that. Case is important. It should create the note in your inventory.

Thanx but how do i get these prgrams? When i go into mthe savegame folder there is just a screenshot of where i am, some .sat files and character portraits. Could you direct me to where to find it plz?
P.S.(I also tried looking for th note and i cant find it anywhere i ben recently which is bad

Sorry just one more thing. On the map, there used to be shield like objects with names on them if u held the cursor over them, these told you what the place was. But recently they have not been there. Maybe i have turned it off somehow? If so how do i fix it?

Yes you turned it off. Just click on map and then there is a button in a left corner IIRC.
