Ok, My Dad and I are playing through the game for the first time and we are having problems with several NPCs (such as Aran Linvail and many others) appearing busy and will not talk to us. After their quests are complete we still have problems. Is there anyway to correct this or set all characters to talk to us with out appearing busy? Some say that patches help. Is that going to fix that problem or will the CLUA commands help us best? And if the ClUA commands help how are they set up so we can do them for any other character that we encounter who will appear busy and never talk?
Thanks for your help Zach (And his daughter, Erica, who is typing under his name) |
sounds like a WinXP problem.

first of all

While patching up you should also consider downloading the (unofficial) Baldurdash fixpack which corrects a lot of minor glitches and bugs in the game and has become standard for every BG2 player. As always, I must say that I envy you for playing the game the first time. Although it has a high replayability it never gets as extraordinary again as for the very first time. I must say I agree with that so far. I was astounded when I found that NPC's had personal problems, and vexed when they wanted me to fix them!! |

Erica, Zach, just a word of friendly advice: Always hunt down the most up to date patches to pre-empt any bugs. Also I might suggest picking up the Baldurdash fixpack.
Here are the links: Official Bioware patch Baldurdash Fixpack That should fix most of the issues you may encounter. ADD> oops Didn't see Facemans post P.S. Bredalbane is exagerating on the romance issues. It's not exactly descriptive enough to cause any worrie's. It's cleaner than the Titanic scenes.
