I am reading the first book of the Archwizards series, (the Summing) and i was wondering if you have read this book that you would think this would be a good 3 person multiplayer party to take all the way through the game and into TOB.

Melegaunt(human)-WIzard

Galeron(elf)-Fighter - Mage

Vala(human)- Barbain

***should i add in Aris the frost Giant as a Half Orc FIghter???

I wouldn't think it's a good party to use. There isn't a thief to disarm traps or to open chests, and it's no use flooding a wizard's spells with knock spells.

Well he could use SK to pump up the frost giant's strength, which would I'm sure solve much of that problem. I imagine a frost giant has a hefty supply of hitpoints as well, which could be used to absorb most trap damage.

Yes, but some traps kill you outright, like petrify

I have tuned Vala into a Assian, and i have used Aris because tactics mod is to hard in the beging with out a tank to absorb damage.

When you're making up a party based on a series or something, you don't have to stick *exactly* to the party makeup and layout the series described. You can always invent a PC that rounds out the party (in this case, giving the trio the much-needed thief) and claim for roleplaying purposes that a new character is tagging along.

Or you can go without a thief, make Melegaunt or Galeron the PC, and give them a familiar with basic thief skills, and rely on Find Traps and Knock when necessary.

Alternatively, choose a story (or series) with more than 3-4 characters; the closer to 6, the better.

Lord of the Rings:
Gandalf--Fighter->Mage
Aragorn--Ranger
Boromir--Cavalier
Legolas--Archer
Sam--Fighter/Thief
Frodo--Swashbuckler

Young Frankenstein:
Frederick--Necromancer
Monster--Half-Orc Monk
Igor--Thief
Inga--Bard
Inspector Kemp--Inquisitor
Blind Priest--Cleric

Belgariad:
Garion--Fighter/Mage
Belgarath--Sorcerer
Polgara--Cleric/Mage
Barak--Barbarian
Silk--Assassin
Princess what's-her-name--Bard

etc., etc., etc.
