I really want to bring Keldorn into my party, especially since I've never used him before, but I can't figure out who to remove for him. My party consists of:

Minsc: Fighter and tank
Jaheira: Healer and back up fighter
Me: Sorceror
Aerie: Back up healer incase Jaheira can't help out and 2nd mage spell caster
Yoshimo: Only thief I have.
Valygar: 3rd Fighter, he's an 'infiltrator.' He's the guy that I have hide in the shadows and explore, not Yoshimo.

-I see that I have 3 fighters, and that one of them should go for Keldorn, but this is also my first time through with Valygar, so I don't want to remove him.
-Yoshimo really sucks right now, and I want to get rid of him, but then I wouldn't have a thief.
-Minsc is needed as my tank, and besides, I couldn't bare to part with Boo
-Jaheira makes a great healer (better than Aerie), and she makes a good fighter too.
-Aerie is a decent spell caster and healer, but I don't think I should remove her since I'm romancing her. However, I have romanced her successfully before, so parting with her wouldn't be a huge loss.
-And if you havn't realized, I'm running a good party.

So, can I get any suggestions on who to remove for Keldorn?

Personally I'd drop Valygar, Aerie, and Jaheira and pick up Jan, Anomen and Keldorn.

That's just my preference though.

In your case, I'd probably drop Minsc. Jaheira can tank fine, especially with Iron Skins. You could even buff up Aerie to ridiculous levels and her tank if you wanted.

I dropped Anomen already on purpose. I've gone through the game with him a few times and gotten him to such ridiculous levels that he alone could easily solo the game. If I decide to drop Minsc, then I'd like to know; does Keldorn have about the save access to weapons that Minsc has (long swords, 2 handed swords, war hammers, etc)?

Paladins, such as Keldorn, can use all weapon types.
Edit: Actually Cavaliers cannot use missile weapons.
Re-edit: But Keldorn is an Inquisitor, so yes he can use all the weapons Minsc can (Unless you have some Ranger only weapon or something, which I really cannot think of right now...)

Paladins can use holy avenger, one of the 5 best weapons in the game...also use the purifier, half of one of the 5 best dual wield combinations in the game...purifier/crom, etc...

also his dispell magic casts at twice his actual level, so has a great chance of dispelling lich level protections...and his true sight is quite useful...

Ok the easiest thing to do is this:

Drop Valgar and make Keldron your main tank. Use minsc as a ranged weapon (preferably bows), there for you will have a ranged fighter and a solid tank. I say this because you dont really have a ranged fighter and you need one and MInsc is good at that since he is a ranger and keldron is only a good tank. Knock yourself out minsc and keldron on the same team is very powerful.

If you really want to keep Valygar, then maybe get rid of Aerie (you can always romance Jaheira, especially since you have romanced Aerie in the past). You can handle the mage duties until you get Imoen back, especially with Keldorn's abilities to help out. Jaheira can handle all of the priest duties except turn undead, and there are good anti-undead items out there already.

Let's look at this from the negative side:
+ you shouldn't remove Yoshimo because you need a thief and it won't be a final solution
+ you shouldn't remove Aerie because then your PC would be the only arcane spellcaster (with a limited selection)

Personally I'd remove Valygar, he's not all that great. Minsc kicks ass and it's hard to let him go.
you could also kick Jaheira if you're not romancing her. Aerie's as good a cleric as her and you don't really need the druid spells (though they are handy sometimes).

<span style="color: lightblue">I would say either Minsc or Yoshimo
Keldorn can do everything Minsc can and more. Insta-true sight and dispell at twice current level is better than Beserk. Keldorn can also use better weapons - Carsomyr vs Sword of Chaos + 2?
Yoshimo you want to get rid of, but that will leave you without Thief - which you can do without anyway. Locks? Aerie or Sorcerer casts Knock. Traps? Cast Detect Traps and just walk past them, or send a summon over them, or something. Traps on doors are disarmed with Knock. .
