Ok so i combined the mace of disruption with the illithium and got a kickass mace...been using it ever since when fighting undead...killed a couple mighty ones with one hit!...but a problem has risen, not a big problem but an annoying one: The mace dosent glow anymore! it now looks like the usual +1 mace :-(...i liked the other one better and there are no "undeath destroyed" message (although im sure it still destroys undead upon hit)

this isnt a big problen just an annoyance...what should i do? cheat in the MoD +1 and illithium and reforge the darn thing, or is there anything else i can do? Am i right to assume that the new Mod +2 item model was included in some mod?

When did it stop glowing?
Does it still kill undead or has it lost its shine in that too?
check your override folders for the mace (resource is BLUN25)
and try to rename (effectively delete but keeping a backup) it.

well it keeps killing undead, but its just not the same...glow!!

Faceman 10-21-2003 01:51 PM

then either ignore it or try to find another solution (look in the override folder, check out Shadowkeeper,...)
Did it stop glowing after some mod-install or just randomly?

Maybe the lightbulb just needs changing ...

It's the battery, check the handle, should be able to open it and just replace the battery

Other then that, if you have any experience with Infinity Editor, you could check in the Shadow Keeper what item you are wielding (the file name, i.e. BLUN25), then open it in Infinity Editor and check the "Shining Colors by RGB" setting.

Although, it may just be a glitch, too, or you have something else on/wielded, which also "glows", so to say, and somewhat messes it up. Basically, few possible things, tricky to say.

In my experience, the MoD+2 has always lost its blue glow after applying the Illithium coating when upgraded.

Follow the advice of the above guys to compare the original MoD colour charactersitics with the MoD+2 colour characteristics, and then copy the effect for the latter using Infinity Editor.

i think a patch i have already did that...at least its stated in the readme, but i dont remember what mod

i thingk this problem ocurred when using shadowkeeper...maybe it changed the color of the mace...

<span style="color: lightblue">Try renaming OVERRIDE/BLUN25.ITM as Faceman suggested, if it exists. See if that changes anything. Possibly some mod you have has overriden the colour effects.
