Well my main charater is a male ranger...i just recently got to Ulmar hills and i was deranked! I talked to some villagers, they tell me nothing...can anyone help me with this??

did you buy swords/ale for children? or did you reputation fall below 7(?)

seems like you've done anything "evil" and become a Fallen Ranger

i don't remember, i just fought bodhi in chapter 6...I been thinking it over and I it was when i got out from the underdark a boy came to me and said something about monsters and gave me a time limit of 3 or 4 days to get there...i think i went to the wrong area...I am wondering if i go ahead and do this, rid them of the monsters, would my character get back his status. By the way it has been over 4 days since my party got out of the underdark.

Are you a "Fallen Ranger" in your class listing? Or by "Deranked" do you just mean no longer the protector of Umar Hills?

You should go back and get to Umar within 4 days from the boy's plea, I think.

i am not a ranger of ulmar hills anymore...how would one know if he/she is a fallen ranger??

Check the character information screen. If there a fallen ranger it will say that instead of "Ranger".

If your Reputation has ever dropped below 4 (I think the critical point is 4, for Rangers), you will become a Fallen Ranger. (Or Fallen Archer, or Fallen Stalker, etc.) This means that you will permanently lose all of your Ranger abilities and advantages, while retaining all of the drawbacks: Essentially, you become a handicapped Fighter. Ways to correct it: Go to the Umar Hills and complete the major quest sucessfully. If you have already done this quest, you're plain out of luck.

If you have angered the residents of the town of Imnesvale (by encouraging juvenile delinquency), you will lose your status as Ranger-protector of the Umar Hills. This means that you will be locked out of your Cabin, forever losing any items that you may have stored there. Ways to correct it: None.
