Okay I just finished up De'Arnise Hold, I think :-(
Instead of killing the wolf looking dudes I got them to work things out with the town folk. I didn't notice if I got any thing special or XP for doing this. What do you get if you kill the wolf dudes instead of being nice? |

If you do then
spoiler ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ kill them and take their meat, roast it on the grill and when you go and fight the umberhulks put the meat in there bowl. This distracts them and you get 18000 quest xp i think. |
First Reply: I thought they were wolfs. There were 5 or 6 and they were
in the middle of the map toward the top. Second Reply: Any idea what I got for being nice to the wolfs? If I got any thing I missed it. Add On: Was there ever anyway to get the sword after giving wizard the mimic blood? |
I dont know what wolfes you mean but I will play the quest later today and check it for you ;)

I dunno what you get for doing it that way but id imagine it wouldnt be as much
|
this sounds like the Umar Hills to me
i don't know the answer to the question though |

If you are in the D'arnise Hold: there are *no* wolves. Those are dogs and you should kill them, but this is not what you mean. Use ctrl+a to view the next paragraph, it contains some plot spoilers. You mean The Umar Hills. The ogre & friends. Help them sort things out with the village and you'll receive a nice shield at the very end of the quest... This quest is larger than you might think, and doesn't completely play out in The Umar Hills, so hang in there buddy!! :D [ 10-14-2003, 05:04 AM: Message edited by: Zuvio ] |

If you killed the Ogres instead, you can loot them for a few decent gems and scrolls, but nothing that you couldn't obtain anywhere else. Yes, giving Jermien the mimic blood should get you an enchanted sword. If he took it and did something with a Golem, you've done it right....but as I recall, after the Golem episode, Jermien just stands there. This is where you might have messed up: If you went, "Hey Jermien! You said you would give me a sword! I will Attack you until you give me my sword!" then you've lost the weapon forever, since it cannot be looted from his body. What you should do instead (in this case, and in all other cases where the person doesn't seem to know what to do) is Talk to Jermien, thus reminding him that you're waiting for your reward. |
