Just restarted BG1 (cause I ordered TOTSC at last) and I sure want to take my character all the way thru SOA and TOB as well. Good chance to play a Kensai finally. Is it okay then to choose a plain fighter at the beginning of BG1? Or will I have problems importing him as a Kensai? Anything else to keep in mind? Thanks for advice.

No problem. By playing and completing BGI and converting your char to SoA, you may choose a kit at the start. And redistribute weapon profs.

This is NOT the case when playing BGtutu, which adds some more realism to the game and long term-planning, but this is for the veteran player, I guess :D

if ur starting again from bg1 and want to play all the way to TOB you should consider getting BGT! Youve probably heard of it before but if not then do a search, theres plenty of threads on it. And its really good!

but with bgt you wont need totsc...but not having it would of course be piracy (illigal).

where did you order totsc from, by the way? haven´t found it anywhere...seems to me they stopped selling the expansion alone

That and BGTUTU are methods of playing BG1 using the BG2 engine. Please note that they are user designed mods, and as such have their share of bugs. However, it will allow you to use a kensai (or any other BG2 class or kit) right from 1st level in Candlekeep all the way through ToB.

Just hit the search button at the top of the page, and type in BGT or BGTUTU. It should show a list of threads giving you plenty of information about both.

I ordered it at ebay, Tyrion. Hope I will win the auction and receive it some time next week.
