Is there anyway to bypass the blighted by sun thing??
Well... yes, there is. You can just use NI to modify the spell file 'Blighted by the Sun' and give it a 0% chance of working, or modify the Valen.BCS script and change all the references to Blighted by the Sun. But why would you want to? You're taking away the *one* downside Valen has. Without it she's just... well, it's cheating.
Indeed, why WOULD you even WANT to cheat?
Is it that much of a problem to attack surface targets at night? Uhh... Well i guess that is actually the biggest point against the who9le crap... If you can avoid it that easily then why bother having it at all? O_o |
I had Valen during the daytime all the time. She is˙n`t killed by the Sunlight and penaltyes that she gets aren`t *that* annoying.
Sot there... |
thats just one of the penalties you take on. I mean in IWD2 id say the penalty is worth is, drow are amazing in the dark!
And i would say that Valen is AWESOME in the darker times! ;D
what i found annoying was that she couldn´t carry her own equipment when she was sunblinded...it really pissed me off to take all her gear before she could move...
now has anyone tried casting protection from energy and protection from elements on her??? if the blight is flagged as energy damage, casting both should make her immune...smarter liches in the tactics mod cast protection from energy on themselves, and it makes them immune to sunray...the principle is valid, i suspect...

Oh, and for Userunfriendly, those things don't work as far as I've been able to tell. The only real surefire method that I have seen is to travel at night. |
