I'm probably missing something really simple...but I've just started a multi-player game (never done it before), with all three characters under my control, and I can't get out of the Promenade. It's been a long time since I've played and I can't remember if I'm missing a step. Been through the circus and the adventurer's mart. I thought I was supposed to get a "get work" dialouge from Ribald to get out to the Slums. I can't think of anything else.

Just go to the edge of the area and exit to the region map. Click on the Slums and you'll be there.

Thakns. But the game actually won't let me out of the area. I get the red highlight when I put the pointer over the slums which means something like - it's been activated in the storyline but I don't have "clearance" to go there (to that effect, anyway).
I was wondering if it had something to do with the multi-player mode. But if I remember correctly there has to be some dialouge with someone about finding work to earn money before you can move on from the Promenade. |
Now THIS is a weird one.
You don't need "permission" from anything or anybody to leave the Promenade--the Slums should be accessible to you the instant you leave Jon's Dungeon, whether you're in Multiplayer or Single Player. Question: Have you cheated at any point in the game so far? I ask this because using the CLUA console to teleport yourself past important points--such as CLUAing the party directly out of the Dungeon and into the Promenade, thus bypassing the whole Cowled Wizard abduction--could cause one heck of a lot of unpredictable badness. |
