Ok so i downloaded the patch for SOA and it said that i did not need the patch because i have TOB installed. Thus for it did not show up in the baldur ini, so i down loaded the TOB patch which is supposed to fix the the pauseing problem...WELL IT DIDNT. The only thing new is I can get the robe of Vecna and so on in the adventurers mart. Whats wrong??

I also installed the valen mod and i have no idea where to get her. Where can i get her?? Also can i get the location for where i can down load soulafien and kelsey or what ever her name is.

And one more general question once i dl the mods and patched do i have to then install them though their little icon thing in the ini???

When you download a patch or mod, yes you also have to run it to install it. Each one should come with a readme file that explains what the program does, and how to run it. I believe the extra merchant in the Adventurer's Mart comes with ToB, not just patch, so make sure that you have actually installed it.

If you have ToB, you need the ToB patch. If you've installed the SoA Baldurdash, you need to UNinstall the SoA Baldurdash and install the ToB Baldurdash.

Once you've downloaded mods, you need to either unzip the ZIP file or double-click the .exe file. You don't need to play around with baldur.ini to install mods.

Solaufein is at weidu.org, and Kelsey is at forgottenwars.net. (EDIT: Not sure where Valen is. The Readme.txt file that came with her mod should say either her exact or general location.)

Do a search on this forum for Icelus' mod thread. It gives a recommended mod install order, among other things.

And so Dundee doesn't have an aneurism, I suggest you check the FAQ sticky thread for more information about mods. ;)

(Psst...hey Dundee...why not get one of the IW BG2 wunderkinder to write a mod FAQ? )

(EDIT #2: Hmm--Icelus' post is now a sticky thread! Serves me right for not paying attention... )
