In my quest for answers, I went directly to the top - Weimer's mods forum, and posted some questions. However, it seems as though that forum is rarely visited (once every couple of days or so). So, I figured I'd ask my questions here (since you all seem experianced with weimer's mods.
Oh, and my apologies for posting so many messages; as I stated, I'm starting a multiplayer game tommorrow (and want to have everything figured out before we start), and most of the messages either came to me at different times, or did not seem related enough. This is going to be my last post for quite some time (because we're starting a game), so forgive me if I re-ask a few questions that haven't been answered yet. Anyway, my questions are: 1) Does the newest version of weimer's ease of use mod fix the Paladin stronghold bug (it appears I have version 19, and the newest is version 21, I think)? 2) The tactics mod has an anti-paladin kit? Can this component be installed seperately? 3)The Item upgrade mod has an improved Carsomyr (it actually dispels magic)? Here is the link (forgive me, I don't know how to link stuff all fancy like, so you get the full link): http://forums.fwstudios.net/index.php?showtopic=4430 they explain how to do this, but I'm not computer savy (look at the link above), so I asked a couple questions about that: 4) is the item upgrade mod ToB only? can I fix carsomyr (in the method mentioned in the above link) even if I only have BG2? 5) If I fix Carsomyr in this method, do I need it in my inventory, or can it be fixed before I start the game? thanks, and I appreciate your patience in putting up with me! |
1-don`t know
2Yes and yes. 3-AFAIk it is not ToB only. 4-It can be fixed before you start the game IIRC. |
thanks, that was simple... now all I need is that first question answered.

I don't think the ease of use mod fix any bugs. Do you have the baldurdash fixpack installed?

A couple new questions: 6) Can somebody give me DETAILED instructions on how to fix Carsomyr as stated above? thanks again |
Item Upgrade is not TOB only. The TOB upgrades are a seperate component. Even if it was TOB-only, you'd be able to do it the way in that link - might be an idea to copy the original (if it already exists in override) into a backup folder somewhere first. Note, however, that this doesn't only make it dispell properly - it also makes the magic resistance cumulative, which is realy too powerful, even for Carsomyr.
EDIT: If you only have SOA, only copy SW2H10.itm [ 09-22-2003, 02:59 AM: Message edited by: LennonCook ] |

Ain't sarcasm great? [ADD] Oh yeah. The Tactics MOD is very compartmentalized, meaning you, the user, get to pick and choose exactly which components to install. If all you want is the Anti-Paladin kit, you can do that. [/ADD] [ 09-22-2003, 02:56 AM: Message edited by: SixOfSpades ] |

before u start ur multiplayer bear in mind taht u have to have the same version of the game as the person/people u are playin with. So if you are installing lots of mods (not sure about them but i think it still has the same effect) and definately patches then the other person/people will also need these.

Carsomy still sucks: Weimer still didn't implement the 100%VorpalHit which bypasses everything that could possibly get in your way |
