What exactly does the plain Bard and Blade song do? The book and kit description describes the effects of the Skald and Jesters songs, but not the normal Bard or Blades. I will get the improved Bard song anyway at higher levels, but I have no idea what benefits my party gets from my Blades song at the moment(Level 13).

The party gets bonus to luck and morale.

Luck decreases attack rolls and damge caused by enemies

The Infinity Engine "luck" mechanism is bizzare, if not just plain stupid. It is there - but has not supporting evidences in the Record screen nor the "To Hit Rolls" line.

For example - luck adds 5% to your thieving skills - but it's not displayed anywhere. On the same note, fatigue - which is the inverse of luck in BG2 - will *decrease* your thieving skills by 5%, and will also not be displayed.

I assume the same logic also applies to saving throws, hit rolls and armor class - but from past experiences, any attempt to prove it is doomed to failure.

I know in PS:Torment Luck was wisdom based, and added to damage rolls, to hit rolls, theif skills, etc, IIRC an 18 wisdom gave +3 luck, I'll have to check and see if I have the chart around, but since they are IE games I would think that luck would work the same in both games.
