As I stated earlier, I am going to play a multiplayer game with a sorcerer. So, for ease of use, I decided to use ShadowKeeper to delete some of the lower level (and a couple higher level) spells, so that I had less spells to dig through when casting them. Well, after doing this, I experimented a little, and after taking those spells out of her book, whenever she leveled up, it would say that I got new spells, but then wouldn't take me to the screen where you chosse you new spells. this happened around the time she reached 20+ levels, so, my question is:
did she stop learning spells because was past the normal EXP cap (I have the cap remover),and you only get more casts, not more spells; or, was it because removing the spells with shadowkeeper messes something up? thanks |

Check this site for a spellprogression chart made by SixOSpades. It clearly states that you keep learning new spells til level 36. Removing spells with SK probabably screwed your game up. But why not simply add the spells you want with SK again? BGII spells work hard-coded I believe: at level up the program checks which level you're going to and gives you the spells for that level, not any previously given spells since it assumes you already have those. Hope this hepled ... |
i reloaded a game from before I took the spells out of her spell book, and used SK to give her EXP and level her up, and it still did it. after I got my third level nine spell, I stopped reciving spells (just the number of times I can cast a spell goes up?!?
this isn't too much of a problem, because I looked through my BGII book, and I think I have all the spells that I want/need. |

Hmmmm got a question for you cav_again, is it possible for you to create like one thread instead of 7 ( I see 7 in the main now ), most people here tend to create a large thread with multiple questions in it.. so the forum isn't flooded by a single person...
Just think about it before you post more 1 - question threads. |
If you do not have throne of Bhaal loaded the most Known level 9 spells a Sorcerer above level 20 is 2 but you can cast 3 lvl 9 spells daily. It is in the codeing of the game, even With Lvl cap removed so, the answer is yes she stop learning spells because she was past the normal EXP cap in Shadows of AHM
Now if you load Throne of Bhaal then at level 20 you learn 3 different lvl 9 spells and can cast up to 6 times daily. then at Lvl 25 you can learn 4 LvL 9 spells and still only cast 6 lvl 9 spells daily. Then at lvl 36 and above you can learn 5 Lvl 9 spells and still only cast 6 lvl 9 spells Daily. If I were you I would go back to the save before where you started deleting spells and just play from there. If you add too many spells you will screw up the codeing of the game and your game will start crashing at the worst times. |
