If I don't romance Jaheira how long will we have to wait for Terminsel's 2nd appearance after the Dermin problem is solved?
In her script (official ToB patch) a timer of five_days (ingame) is set but never checked. The script only checks for a real timer. Please tell that I don't have to wait 5 days of real time for him....

The Jaheira/Harper/Terminsel quest is very buggy. So if you KNOW you've done everything right and KNOW that you are waiting too long for his appearance already you might as well spawn him yourself. There were several threads about that issue here IIRC and you could take a look at Manveru's Jaheira page or the RomancingGuide at sorcerers.net to get a hold of the important variables.
So if you are impatient just clua the old fella in :D

maybe you're really in that annoying -five days real time- situation; you're probably not "not romancing" her, but you screwed the romance -- you actually had quite a few converstations with Jaheira before you gave the wrong answer or decided to not conversing with her.

Then it's true, five days real time. Probably Bioware's punishment for having her in the party but not romancing her. The SoA-patch from Baldurdash/Manveru sets this timer to five days ingame time, what a shame that Bioware changed that.
Bad luck if you play a female pc, no reward for all this harper stuff.

the best way to deal with this, imo, is to finish everything in Jaheira's harper quest right before you head to the spellhold. Those five days will easily pass when you're in ch. 4 and 5. When you're back from the underdark, Terminsel should show up immediately.
btw, it's not just female PC, but all those who aren't romancing Jaheria cannot get the harper quest bonus.

I think the 5 days punishment will occur in both cases. As far as I can see the script set the five days timer if JaheiraRomanceActive=0 or =3. There seems to be no mercy.
But you're right, traveling through chapters 4 and 5 should make the most of those five days.
