my stalker has gone straight from the circus tent to umar hills with aerie and jan as it sounded like the sort of thing he should be getting involved in ;) i've taken the job and travelled somewhere else (great area by the way) and have recruited my 4th (and final) party member

i'm quite happy sneaking about here but my party is feeling a little bit out of their depth and at some point i can see i might want to head back to the city to re-equip, learn some lessons, so my question is - am i on a timer? (especially stronghold-wise)

thanks

Unless a person states a specific number of days, there is no timer to your quests. There are a few exceptions.

A Certain NPC's Subquest( irrelevant here)

Chapter 5( you're not there yet)

Feel free to take your time.

As Dundee stated, most quests don´t have a time limit.
However, if you want to take the rangerstronghold, make a savegame after you receive it.
I had some problems with this stronghold, because i didnt meet the messenger for the 1st quest (since I was not at the hills), but for some reason, Delon met me in the city and initiated the 2nd quest. Of course, the 1st quest was counted as failed and I lost the stronghold with lots of stuff in it.

Another glitch I observed was with two quests at the graveyard.
I initiated the gravedigger quest, got the "evidence", did some other quests and after a couple of days the red guy was nowhere to find.
The same happened with the Paladin and the boy. I talked to the priest, did something else and after some days, the Paladin was gone.

An irrelevant question about quest timers...
Maybe Spoilers...

After accepting Nalia's quest in the Copper Coronet, she tells you to hurry up and get to her keep if you choose the option where you meet her there instead of having her in your party. Is there a certain amount of time that you need to get there in, or can you do whatever you want for 736.8 days before going, and she'll still be there?

There is no timer for the Keep...I've completed the ToB dungeon (hah), and she was still there.
