Ok, two questions. From what I've heard, Viconia is a good cleric. I would like her, but cannot find her. Where is she?

Also, how do you gain rep. points? I have only found out about 1 rep point, where you complete the circus tent in waukeen's promenade. I noticed that when you donate cash to temples, it says "While your donation was generous, it was not enough to gain a reputation point". I've wasted lots of money trying to get rep. points that way, with no success. How much do you donate?

Thanks.

1. viconia is easy to find at the government district.search near the jail.u cant miss her.

2. u dont have to worry about getting rep.pints, 'cause there is enough rep. points in the game to allow u to pass through 20 (but actually u cant go pass 20).and for getting rep points by donation at temples:

Cost Reputation Level
-----|----------------------------
1500 | 1
1200 | 2
1000 | 3
1000 | 4
500 | 5
400 | 6
200 | 7
300 | 8
400 | 9
500 | 10
700 | 11
900 | 12
1200 | 13
1500 | 14
2000 | 15
2500 | 16
5000 | 17
-- | 18
-- | 19
-- | 20

edit:which means from (example) your rep. of 9, u want to increase your rep. so it'll be 10, u have to donate 500.and from rep. of 16 to 17, u have to pay 5000.and so on.

hey, Jaradu, some spoilers about rep. and Viconia / evil party memebers

* you really don't need to donate to get your rep. up because there are more than enough quests for you to raise your rep. in the course of the game.

*when Viconia joins your party, you lost two rep. points immediately; if you kick her out, you gain two rep. points. these occur everytime you take her in or kick her out.

*if your party has evil aligment NPCs, such as Vicoina, they will leave your party once your rep. hits 18 (no matter what situation you're in, even in a battle). So be careful managing your rep. if you really likes to keep some evil NPCs, always let your rep. stay at/below 17.

Ok, so here's a question: What are some non-reprehensible ways to LOSE reputation points? I don't want to go killing commoners (at least not this time through...) but I'm playing Chaotic Neutral and I want to role-play a little more. Any insights? Thanks.

well...this is what I always do (while my NPC is a fighter type, I love to have Edwin and Viconia in my party),

do not get to too many "rep. rising" quests before you get to the spellhold.
by the end of spellhold maze, your PC will gain certain ability which can help you lose rep. points. So, when you're back from the spellhold, you can take those rep. rising quests (or do take the quests in Ch.2 or 3, but collect your reward in ch. 6)...kinda silly, but this is what I always do^_*

ok, I edited it, sorry to SPOIL!

Well, nice to know my parents are loved.

If you want a pure evil party, you're going the right way now. Simply getting Viconia will take 1 reputation point. Try not to go lower than 5 though. In the early levels of the game, the Cowled Wizards are pretty tough, and they will appear if your reputation drops too low, as will the Knights of the Most Radiant Heart. Try to stay around 6 or 7 reputation points.

do not get to too many "rep. rising" quests before you get to the spellhold.
by the end of spellhold maze, your PC will gain the ability to turn into slayer. Everytime you turn into slayer, you'll lose two rep. points. </font>[/QUOTE]Yeah, I do that too, although I've only tried using it in ToB to drop my rep purposefully.
And teardrop, stakkalee didn't ask to be spoiled, and that was a *major* spoiler that you put up there.

ehh...that's why I put a "spoiler" there and some space inbetween my spoiler text. is that what we should do? put out spoiler warning while we throw out spoilers? stakkalee did ask how to lower rep. and my answer consists of spoilers, and I put "spoiler" there...what's wrong?

btw,
AFAIK, rep. in ToB doesn't matter
