Last week a couple of new mods came out, both NPCs. There was a Chloe (kensai) romance, and a Zaira-Kairya mod (monk and wild mage.) Has anyone tried either of these mods, if so, what are your thoughts?

Where can I find them?

You can find both of them here.

I downloaded Chloe after reading this. She is TOO powerful and her weapons are pretty heavily enchanted. She has like 78% of kills in CHP2 and is getting higher by every fight.

I don´t know how getting her to your party works in real since I have Dungeon be gone installed so I had to Clua her in. First I got "X has nothing to say to you"-bug and after using ctrl+Q she was bare naked :( So I had to SK her equipment (what was named after her gods) don´t know if I missed somethimg.

On the bright side she have had good arguing with Jaheira and is quite talkative. And her voice is HOT! After reading the readme I even ended up changing my characters sex to get that romance. Pretty surreal to have a character with male avatar and voice and female portrait and discussion lines. Well she is a fighter with CHA 6 so having a manly voice doesn´t make any difference :D

Whoa, when I downloaded Chloe, I thought a Kensai would be a great edition and she is. But then when I looked at her stats, I nearly fell out of my chair, a 25 Dexterity? No wonder why she tears up the competition.

From the Chloe forum:

Stats:
Str: 13 (Lowered from 16)
Dex: 25 (she's a demigod)
Con: 16
Int: 12
Wis: 12
Chr: 14

Background:
Chloe grew up near Neverwinter in a small orphanage. She claims to be the bastard offspring of Akadia, goddess of air and speed of movement, and a mortal man. Though she has no proof of her heritage, her supernatural speed and skill certainly give it some credibility. Chloe is driven by some inner urge to improve her skills constantly, spending hours a day practicing whenever she can. You wonder how she manages to fight so well when most would be fatigued from this constant practice, but she simply gives you a friendly smile and says it's simply due to daily practice and not to her divine heritage. She feels a certain kinship to you and Imoen, due to your similar divine parentage

Yeah early on it makes a difference but later in the game (late SoA and all of ToB) your other characters (except your wizards and possibly your thief) will have much lower ac. You'd be surprised how often you'll have to heal her. And worse, for some reason kensai seem to take monstrous hits more often than other classes. I mean, they have like say 100ish hitpoints since they're a fighter, and they can still die so much quicker than your thief or mage that gets jumped. You just have to be careful and use strategy. Her offensive abilities will fool people into sending her into the thick and then they'll freak when her head lands at their feet. So... overpowered, not really.

A higher level Draw Upon Holy Might gives you STR, DEX and CON 25 for 1 turn.
And that's usually enough time for a fight to end.

I can accept her 25 DEX at all times.
Combining that with Crom Faeyr ... ;)

ADD: Oh, yeah ! How would that 25 DEX influence her missile (I mean throwing daggers and axes and darts) abilities ?

that it might be, but in later tougher fight, especially into ToB, just one or two hits might end her life.

it invloves tactics of course, and everything is about tactics isn't it. Pure Kensai (especially one with 25 DEX) is lethal weapon, but just not as main fighter/tank, especially in group fight (note, in quite a few group fight, deadly archers may out of your sight, and it only takes few arrows to end the kensai's life). Kensai -> Mage would be another story (if Chloe can be dualled into mage, I'd say she is overpowered^_*)

Just a correction, I believe the correct term is "demigoddess". :D :D :D

If Chloe is classified as a Human, then she could squeeze in a Dual to Thief, although she'd need to use the MoLtM and the DoMT in order to do do. Both Cleric and Mage are permanently beyond her ken.

[ADD:] Out of curiosity, what's her weapon style? Katana? Dualwielding Clubs? Spear? Scimitar? Rapier & Dagger?
