A question about Swashbuckler/Mage:
Should I dual or single wield or use a two-handed weapon? Which weapon proficiencies would support my class best if I am playing with a Berserker/cleric? Also...Should I make sure to have high wisdom, int, dex? Just need some more advice! Thanks |
Swashy/Mage: I would prefer single-weilding Katanas or Daggers. You get more critical hits, and it looks pretty There's also a smaller chance of missing your target; you don't have an off-hand weapon.
B/C: Flail, Mace, Warhammer, Staff, etc. Any Cleric weapon. If you like using the Flail of Ages, Defender of Easthaven, Crom Faeyr, or any of the other powerful blunt weapons, go ahead. The Flail and Faeyr make the most powerful (and munchkin) combo, however. Mages need high Intelligence, Clerics need high Wisdom, and thieves need high Dexterity. The S/M should have a high Dex and Int, while the B/C should have a high Str and Wis. ADD-Oh, and since your relatively new here, and I haven't welcomed you (AFAIK)... Roleplayingwise I'd not use a two-handed on a swashbuckler but as he is a mage too that could be reconsidered in case of a staff or staffspear (which would suit a dual mage/thief quite nicely).
The Berserker/Cleric should definitely use a warhammer. Aside the fact that there is a nice one in the game all the other weapons just seem too small. |
