easiest would be to use Shadow Keeper, but if you insist on using CLUA, make sure you have Debug Mode=1 written right below Program Options, like so:

[Program Options]
Debug Mode=1
Installing=0
Install Type=3
etc.

Also make sure everythign is written exactly as you see it on whatever page you're getting the codes from, the game does need capitalization in the correct places, mmissing one can easily cause a code to fail.

I find it easier to cut and paste the code into the game instead of trying to type it from memory. Dan Simpson's BG2 FAQ lists the basic CLUA codes at the end of the document, and his item list gives the CLUA codes for all the items in the game.

SK is great and wonderful if you want to tweak portraits and stats. However, I find it easier to copy and paste an item code into the console instead of closing BG2, opening SK, importing the item, closing SK, and restarting BG2.

and CLUA is great to spawn monsters for practice or fun.

it's not caps sensitive. I'm 95% sure that something like BOOTS11 and boots11 will do the same thing.

<span style="color: lightblue">The filename is not case sensitive, the action is.
<font face="times">CLUAConsole:CreateItem("BooTS11")</font><span style="color: lightblue"> will work, but <font face="Times">cluAconSole:CreATEITEM("BOOTS11")</font><span style="color: lightblue"> will fail.
