I know this question has been asked (and answered) before, but I dug through 15 pages and didn't see it, so I figure it's time for a re-post. I know there are some un-pickable locks in the game, and I think it's quite an annoying bug (I know they gave it a nice little message in ToSC, but it's still a bug). There are some unpickable locks in the Duchal Palace, okay, it only makes sense that the highest-ranking people in the game would have access to the best protective spells, but I'd read that the chest in the Treasury could be opened--I've even read postings on what exactly is in it. So I decide to pay that old chest a little visit, and can't get it open for the life of me. I hopped Coran up on potions until he could pick a lock practically by sneezing on it--247% Open Locks!--and no dice. Knock doesn't work, giving my strongest Fighter a Potion of Storm Giant Strength and doing Draw Upon Holy Might doesn't work. What the hell do I have to do to this chest to get it to open up? Hand-feed it Ho-Hos and Spam while Imoen dances the hoochie-coochie?

I dont remember where the Tresury is, but I opened many chests in upper floor of Ducal palace. There were same stupid wands, magical armor and some weapon - nothing interesting. But maybe you are talking about something other http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

Yeah--the upper floors contain some unpickable locks, too, but the Treasury I'm talking about is in the Dungeon. There's nothing in it except money and stuff to sell (like a King's Tears gem), but the existence of a chest that other people have opened and I can't really irks me.
