well a day ago i said i hated BG2, thats because i didnt even get past the beginning which i must say was a drag, but now i got up to the surface and i see a beutiful city and am having fun, i just saved the circus tent
now the question is....when i put on armor, like i had minsc put on the chain mail of the dead, the AR went from 9 to 1, youd think if you put armor on the AR would go up? please aid me |
AC goes down, as when you hit you are rolling a d20 (20-sieded dice) and trying to score above your THACO minus your targets AC. Analyse that (or take my word for it) and you'll find that a lower AC makes you harder to hit, and a lower THACO makes it easier for you to hit things.
3rd edition rules (as used in neverwinter and icewind dale 2) do things differently, and higher armour classes and attack bonuses (THACO dosent exist in 3E) are better than low ones. |
so the lower AC the better?

This site will answer that question and a whole lot more: http://www.geocities.com/sixospades/bg/contents.htm

Or do something completely ridiculous and actually click the Forum Guidlines and FAQ sticky-thread
The FAQ covers quite a few basic questions about the game, including yours. Reading it will provide you with some very handy basic knowledge about the game. The thread alos provides all necessary links to the necessary patches etc. Click it |
that would be kind of rediculous dont ya think?
