I personally would like to know the difference between the two, because I know that a WereWolf if a humanoid creature that tranforms into a wolfish creature, but is a WolfWere a natural werewolf or is it a wolf that is a Werehumanoid?

That, my friend is a good question.

Back on topic, there are huge differences between the two races. Cause they are indeed two different races, and they loathe eachother so much that they regularily attack on sight. A Werewolf is indeed a lycanthrope, or a man who changes to a humanoid wolf when it's full moon. A Wolfwere, on the other hand, is sort of a shapeshifting wolf. It's regular form is a large wolf, hence why it is know as a Wolfwere. ;) </font> |
If I remember rightly Wolfwere's are a hell of a lot harder to kill...
|
They are tough to kill because of their incredible regen rate. However, your party's combined strength should do the trick.

Curses! I am without my monster manual to answer this! hehe
One thing I can never seem to remember tho, werewolves (and most werecreatures) can only be hurt with magical weapons... Is it the same for wolfweres? |
I seem to recall that Wolfweres do not need special weapons to hit. They are, however, nastier, as they regenerate (especially Greater Wolfweres). I'd rather take on a werewolf any day, especially if the DM is nice and lets silver weapons do double damage...hehehe

yes, you would think that with all the legend that Were creatures are weak against silver, that the D&D manuals would state that in the books.

i think sagamore's reply was humorous... he was juss trying to get some laughs...
