This has happened to me many times. When I create a character I always set the difficulty on normal, so that I get max HP when starting. But this is too much. I usually play elves and when I get 101 starting HP somethings wrong. I have started other character with the same stats almost and they got the normal 91 starting HP. What seems to be the problem here.
It my seem like a small problem, but it makes the game unrealistic and boring. |
I hink there is no problem in it. It depends on race and class and most importantly on CON points.

no there is some sort of bug as he meant. the main char sometimes has one not-shown lvl more than others.

Just a little nitpick ;) Anyways, I can't help you with your problem. But hey, who cares? Extra HP is always good :D |
Snag the official patch and also baldurdash's fixpack(s). It might fix it, dunno :/
my Elf theif started out with like, 76 hp :/ |

well the protagonist is supposedly the child of Bhaal... i think having a few extra hit points is necessary dont you?
|
I wouldn't worry about it, I've had it happen to me but all in all, it's not a bug. It's not neccesarily a bad thing either you know ;)

IIRC, the PC gets a +10% HP boost upon character creation. That's why a level 7 fighter with 18 CON starts with 108 HP.... ;)
