Damn those vampires! DAMN THEM! after i beat them down they just waltz outta there in those invulnerable gaseous forms.... they think they can level drain me and juss prance outta there .. .HELL NO! i came across an item called a wooden steak? the description says it can kill vampires.... how do i use it??!!?

Well, if you were better acquainted with classical vampire literature, you would know that the only way to give true death to an animate vampire is to take its head. Stakes only work when the vampire is in a state of rest. For details on that, ask to be spoiled.

After they go to gaseous forms, get a stake and clcik it on their tombs, then they're dead.

Boo should have a garlic necklace, vampires, and even Bodhi, wouldn't stand a chance.

Note, you can only really kill forever the vampires who have names, as they are the only ones with stakeable coffins. The others are small cheese anyways. IIRC I've made it to the underdark only getting level drained once or twice, total.

Besides, if you have a good cleric or some lesser restoration scrolls, being level-drained shouldn't be that bad.
