I've encountered a very very strange bug with the bag of holding. I bought 1 from a store, and after buying it, there was another 1 there, so I bought that too. But IIRC, the store was supposed to only have 1 (I think I bought it from a spell stand in WP). So, I had 1 on my main character and 1 on Minsc. SPOILER (RIGHT AFTER LEAVING JONNY'S DUNGEON)

I put some of Imoen's items in my main character's bag now that she was taken about by the Cowled Wizards. Then, I went to put some stuff in what was Minsc's empty bag of holding, only to find that Imoen's items were in there too! So I had Imoen's items in my main character's bad and the bag that Minsc was holding on to (so I thought they had become duplicated). So I took the items out of the bag that Minsc has, and then went to take them out of the bag on my main character, only to see that they were no longer in his bag. So, I have like, 2 bags that act like 1. Has anyone had this problem before? Bug??
It's really confusing me

Yeah, I've had this 'bug' before.

In my case, I CLUA'd a bag of holding in right at the very start of the game, and when I picked one up in Spellhold the inventories duplicated.

This is simply because each individual bag of holding has its own CLUA code. If you have two with the same code, they share inventories.

Unfortunately, you cant use it to duplicate items ;)

<span style="color: lightblue">The spellstand in Waukeens Promenade should not have *any* bags of holding, let alone two... you should be able to get a maximum of one before Chapter 4, and then only if you have TOB installed.

Well, I know I got it from some where, b/c it didn't magically appear in my inventory. I'm pretty sure the game doesn't normally do that ;) . And I know that I didn't CLUA them into the game. There was just no point even in using a bag of holding early on until Imoen's stuff was starting to take up too much space that was needed. I'm just wondering how this happened...

Bag of Holding is essentially a store where the price is always zero. Both bags you have use the same "store" file.

I believe that the merchant should sell scroll cases, but it somehow transformed to Bags of Holding. A bug, be certain.

uhhhhhg! Now i'm confused. sounds like a riddle to me. ****head spinning**** and to answer YES! The game is just wierd. Just accept the dupes as an extra game bonus. Woo hoo! I've some other experiences like losing stuff in the bag.

There shouldn't be anything which would cause that kind of a bug, should there?
And wouldn't all containers work in that same way - being fake stores ?? If so, why does this not happen with Scroll Cases and Gem Bags ??

This whole thing is just BEGGING for a reinstall. If your Gem Bags/Scroll Cases are behaving like Bags of Holding that point to the same *.STO file, god knows how bad the REST of your game is screwed up.

No way, I am not, and I repeat not re-installing the game. I have a very bad experience with re-installs....

Don't ask me. Bugs are often unpredictable.

When an install is buggy, why does a reinstallation fix anything? What causes that "one-time" bugs?

They do. Open up NI and search through store files.
