...it SEEMS like going to Spellhold prevents your stronghold quests from finishing, but I'm not sure. I know I didn't finish the Bard stronghold the first time that way.
What about doing Aran Linvail's tasks, does that terminate stronghold quests? I finished his job but am hanging around Athkatla waiting for the fighter stronghold to finish, but it seems like I've been waiting more than a tenday since the last stronghold quest for a messenger to call me back for the last(?) act of the D'Arnise Keep [never did the fighter stronghold before]. |
Entering Chapter Four (ie Sailing with Saemon) will halt your stronghold quests.

I am confused, can someone please explain abut this stronghold business?, i am new to SoA and am about to leave to go to find imoen, and have been doing a lot of quests concerning the de'Arnise keep and am haveing fun and i dont want any opportunities missed because of leaving to find imoen.

About strongholds:if you did a lot of stuff for it,you can finish it now or later(if you go with Seamon as mentioned above). Then you stronghold quests will be on pause i think. |
Hey dude, I thought I'd drop in and say hi, considering we live in the same town! That's right, I hail from Nelson, too! Never thought I'd see someone else from the little place here. Welcome to Ironworks!

You sound like you have the de'Arnise Keep as your Stronghold. If your PC is a Fighter, Barbarian, or Monk, then I'm correct. Don't worry about sailing off to go find Imoen--you will NOT lose your Stronghold (no matter which Stronghold you have). The quests will wait until you get back. The only ways to actually LOSE your Stronghold are to violate certain rules or standards of behavior--since these are different with every Stronghold, I'm not going to outline them all here. |
I was going for the bard stronghold, but i let Haer Dalis' go before returning him to the five flagons and doing all the quests associated with that. I thought that he would just wait at the inn for me, but when i got there, the playhouse was empty...
what should i do about this? |

If it's actually Haer that you're worried about (I worry about him sometimes too), he's not in the playhouse itself, but upstairs on the main floor, standing in the corner like a bad little boy. Unless, of course, you told him to go shove it in some rude manner, in which case he won't be anywhere. |
