I know the trick of giving Jaheria your drow things, then kicking her out to go to the Harper hold, thus saving them, but I can't save the one thing I really want to save. I can't figure out how to make sure that Solaufein's cloak doesn't turn to dust. If I give it to her, then kick her out, she gives it back to me. Then, when I leave the Underdark, it turns to dust. Is there some way to save it?

As bringing adamantine items to the surface is illegal anyway, you can easily create it with console. It is not "worse" or "more cheating" than exploiting bugs.
