In Mae-Var guild house on the last floor where Edwin stays - there is a door behind him (up-left) what is locked. do you know how to unlock it ?
I asked this before, but things may have changed - in the Planar sphere where it is the cowled wizard (or may be in the room where is the necromancer) again up-left there is a door what I can not unlock. Can it be opened ?

many of these doors are just there for look, not usable.

IIRC the door in Mae'Var's guild cannot be opened. It's a fake door - quite typical for thieves, isn't it?
I am not sure about the other door you mentioned, as I do not remember it. The necromancer I assume is Lavok (Valygar's forefather and owner of the sphere), but the only door up left I know leads to a room with

Aha...ok.

No, no the door what leads to the lizard men. There is a door what says 'locked' and because the previous answers for it were like the Tyrion's one it seems that it is another fake door.

Wat I would do is cheeting!
just get a "knock" wisard spell scroll and learn it! this spell will just open all locks!!! Good luck!

The BG1 problem of unpickable locks seems to have disappeared in BG2. I haven't met a non-magical lock in BG2 that couldn't be forced, Knocked, or picked with a Master Thievery/Perception potion. There is a way to open everything, and some are puzzles. [img]smile.gif[/img]
