IIRC, liches are +2 or higher (depending on the lich). Vampiric mist (like the one's you encounter in the gas chamber) are +1 or better, and vampiric mist (like what happens after you kill a vampire) is invincible.

ah thx

mummies the best weapons to use again them are?

Faceman 06-16-2003 03:46 PM

Vampiric mist can also easily be turned (turn undead).

If you encounter one of the boss vampires (the ones with names) and he/she turns to mist and disappears you should resort to the Dracula movies. Just what would Professor van Helsing have done.
Alternatively you can also think of what solution Buffy would have had for that case.

with slow moving enemies like mummies or zombies it is best to run away and hit them with ranged weapons until they are at melee range then run again.
lichs are best taken out with spells (or cheese) as they are powerful spellcasters themselves.
weapons against undead available early spoilers

Just a few clarifications. ;)
</font>
  • Your everyday Lich is vulnerable to any magical weapon - +1 and above, that is.</font>
  • Same goes for Mummies - mundane weapons immunity alone.</font>
  • Greater Mummies are surprisingly resistant, and require no less than a +3 weapon to hit.</font>
  • Vampires' weapon immunities vary (and in an inconsistent manner, at times): Some seem to have none whatsoever, while some require a +3 weapon. Weird stuff!</font>
Any other Undead you're interested in?

But tends to have Protection from Magical Weapons or Improved Mantle in his spellbook and/or contingencies.

Which is even more annoying thanks to their innate immunity to spells of levels 1 to 5 - namely, Breach.
