I thought the protection from magic scroll would protect against all forms of magic. Nevertheless the beholders death ray goes right through it. Is this a bug, or is it something that is supposed to happen?

I think its a bug, the PfM Scroll is suppose to protect u from anything.... When i used it on beholders I never had problems with it, do u have latest patch installed?

bug or not - I don't know, but cast dead ward (priest) or SI:necromancy (wizard) and voila

I would cast death ward, but the protection from magic scroll removes all magic effekts from the user :(

the latest patch, is it "Throne of Bhaal Patch Version 26498" ? Do I have to install the SoA patch when I have ToB installed?

The fix for this is included in the Baldurdash FixPack (and separately) and it is a bug.

thanks! allthough it says that I should'nt install any of these bug fixes if I have ToB installed. I'm just going to ignore that...
