Does anyone know where to get some decent items for either bg1 or bg2 (preferable bg1!), even the expansions will be cool, i jst wanna get a decent sword, or ring.

What's a decent item in your understanding?
There are some decent items in the games (Gaxxring, Carsomyr, ...)
You can give them to your PC with Gatekeeper (BG1) and Shadowkeeper (BG2)
(just do a Google search can't remember the adresses).
I wouldn't recommend it though as it seriously damages the game balance. Where's the fun if you can whack away every foe with one blow while being practically invincible. *eagerly expecting a visit from SoS to this thread*
If you are looking for powerful mod items I would recommend Weimer's site (www.weidu.org IIRC). You could also look for the Infinity editor and make your own items and spells.

All right....here follows a very good guide on how to find them:
1) Start the game
2) Don't hack in items from an old character just because you don't like being naked
3) Play the game
4) Play the game
5) Play the game some more
6) Find something cool
7) Go, "Woohoo!"
8) Keep playing
9) Go go go
10) Find something even cooler
11) Go "BOO-YA!!!"
12) Look back on yourself as you started playing the game, and reflect on what a doofus you were for thinking you needed great items right from the very start
