alright, i've just left irenicus' dungeon and i've not yet decided on a party yet....i've beat the game over 5 times, and would like a nice party experience without korgan, edwin, anomen or minsc (used them way too much ) im a pure fighter and would like to keep jaheira (for romance ;) , never tried it before)
cheers |
Hrhhm, lets see...
We have a swordswinger you say? And that harper twit. Well, she's good at many things besides ranting. Good frontliner... Well, maybe you want to look into Viconia. Damn fine cleric and a decent slinger too. And she is actually a swell enough lass beneath her rotten exterior. But, then again would you risk to make Jaheira jealous. Want some more buff? Hrmmm, you could look into Keldorn. A decent enough warrior, and his Disspelling prowess is priceless. Still his is a bit stiff-jointed due to old age. If you are looking for younger blood you might look for Mazzy Fentan. She is a good choice. Extraordinary archer, but actually also a quite hefty frontliner, and though her magical abilities are weak, they are useful. Then, we'll go over to the mages: You have left out Edwin, arguably the most powerful around, but definately not the only choice. Though it will have you waiting for quite some time you might want to look into Imoen. She is a decent thief and her magical abilities are strong. Before you' might want Nalia. Her thieving skills are rather debutante and needs "medical aid" to become of any real use, but as a mage she is priceless. She is also in excellent physical shape. The same cannot be said for Aerie, that, given her race, could be considered a cripple. Theres nothing wrong with her spellcasting though. You might come to truly appreciate the power to be gleaned from having access to both divine and arcane magicks. That is if you and Jaheira can stand her constant mewling. And then there is a guy that I heartfelt will recommend to nearly everyone. The amazing spectacular Jan Jacobar Jansen. Not only is he a thief worth his salt, he is also a powerful spellcaster. And don't dismiss his gadgets. You will come to see that they are quite powerful. He is an illusionist and he has understood how to utilize his insights, aided by his goggles, against illusionary magic and sneaky enemies. With some True Sights memorized he will turn the tables against any would-be sneaksmen. Here are some setups: You Jaheira Viconia Yoshi -> Imoen (ok, you can leave out Yoshi) Nalia Mazzy You Jaheira Keldorn Aerie Jan Nalia You Jaheira Viconia Nalia Jan Mazzy and so forth. You have lots of possibilities open and ripe in front of you. |
-You
-Keldorn -Jaheira -Mazzy -Kelsey -Imoen That's how I would set it up, but you don't have to. Mazzy is the ranged support, while Jaheira tanks. You and Keldorn both pound the enemy, while Kelsey and Imoen support with spells. I would've recommended Tashia instead of Imoen, except that Kelsey has a romance with Imoen in ToB, and you can't romance Tashia. |
mmm...i would have a party set up such;
You Aerie Jaherira (you can just be mean to aerie, so you only have 1 romance) Valygar (i think he's underrated...what do you think?) Mazzy, definately a keeper... I would have any thief here...preferably Jan, because turnips are the thing...all over the world. But i guess you need minsc to really get the funny dialoges...oh well [ 06-06-2003, 08:41 PM: Message edited by: Sagramore ] |
