I have a cleric I'm gonna play the whole game (bg totsc soa tob) through with. Soon as I get to SoA I will get him a kit and then dual class him to a mage. My question is will i still get a holy symbol? And what is a better level to dual to a mage.

Rapida, when exactly are you supposed to get a Holy Symbol? If you get it after you get to ToB, then you've posted this in the wrong area, and anyone not that far in the game, like me, would appreciate any necesary adjustments. If this occurs before ToB, then please excuse my ignorance on the subject. I'm sure someone will be along to be more of a help shortly.

Err well I'm not sure where you get it i know a cleric gets it at level 25, but i dont know if this is class level or character total level.

As soon as the Cleric reaches level 25 in Cleric, then it will gain a Holy Symbol.

But how does a cleric get to level 25 in SoA? The answer is of course ToB!
It's sharply talked the wrong forum you're posting this in. However it's an honest mistake that can happen.
Please be more careful in the future as your post title alone bears some spoiler potential for SoA-only players.

To answer your question. IIRC a cleric gets it at lvl 25 and this means his 25th cleric level. So single-class clerics can get it and multi class clerics if their cleric portion is lvl25 (don't know if that's possible with ToB XP though)
If you don't have ToB and only use a SoA XPcapremover I doubt you will get the Symbol.
