Lets imagine that there is no thief in your party, just a sorcerer, inquisitor and fighter/cleric. What about the traps ? The way what I use is to activate the trap and see its damage then I'm loading the game, I'm casting the appropriate protection and I'm activating the trap again. Do you know any more intelligent way ?

You could use detect traps with your fighter/cleric and then try to avoid them ... thats about all you can do though :(

Or just memorise where all the traps r and avoid them... If they are not avoidable(some arent) just let one of ur character tank them ;)

Make your sorc cast Mirror Image. That would shrug off most traps' damage
In spec. cases, you would want to fall back to your prev. tacktic (PWK trap in ahem... somewhere closely related to all spellcasters ) Or just sacrifice a summon once you detect the trap with your cleric. |
With the exception of those rare traps that do area damage rather than target specific damage you should have no trouble dealing with traps with a combination of Stoneskin, Mirror image and Minor spell deflection.

Mages,Sorcerers,Druids have Ironskins and Stoneskins...
Clercis have find traps spell... Fighters relay on raw power and saves i guess... |
Brilliant idea, though you'll have to wait for a few level ups I think, have your magic user cast project image or simulacrum(however it's spelled I don't care, really). and send the clone through the traps. Beware area effect traps though.

Summons can trigger traps? I never knew that...
|
Just once I tried to use a summon to trigger a trap - in Bodhi's Gauntlet, THAT nasty trap, and it refused to be triggered by summon, but my familiar worked pretty cool... had to reload, of course :(
