Which portal in which quest? Give us a little more on your situation. Also, certain portals in the game require you to have a certain item or key in your possesion, or they do not work.

The Portal in chapter 1 close to the Dryads. I did find a key in the room next to the dryads. Not one of the keys I have work. Lost...

It sounds like you are in the beginning dungeon. You have to find the portal key before you can use it. Explore the whole level, and make sure to check every container, even the locked ones.

Yes he's in Irenicus's dungeon he told us this in another thread. Check the keys you have and see if one is called "Portal Key". If you have this key it is the one to use. If you have this key and it isn't working it could be a bug. In that case head to Dundee's sticky FAQ thread and download the offical patch and Baldurdash fixpack if you don't already have them.

I don't have the key that is labelled portal key. I have been through the whole dungeon. I thought the portal key was in Irenicus's mistress's room. Isn't the key there?

It is in Irenicus's mistress room. If I remember correctly it's in the chest at the end of the bed. You'll know when you have the right key because it can not be removed form your inventory.

Oh and I forgot to say the mistress room is south of the dryads. It's the room were an alarm goes off when you enter it. Hope this helps [img]smile.gif[/img] .
