Stalkers can cast 3 mage spells.

Does that mean they get the spell icon?

Does that mean they can use scrolls? wands?

I'm guessing not all it would be all over the 'best solo' threads . . .

I think they cant use wands/scrolls. All they have is the spells mentioned.

If you can wait I could confirm this for you. I am planning to play a Stalker/Cleric next, but I guess this will take some time since I am now with a Blade.

I have heard they can have a Familiar too, but I don't know.

Maybe somebody can help with this?

Stalkers are restricted in the same way as all rangers with magic items.

Yes they get the spell icon, as do all Rangers. Normal Rangers and all Ranger kits can cast level 1-3 Druid spells. Stalkers get the same spell slots and spell progression as Rangers, but also have available as 3rd levels spell choices 3 Mage spells (Haste, Prot from Normal Missles, and Minor Spell Deflection if I recall correctly). They get them at 12th level, which is when a Ranger first gets the ability to use 3rd level Druid spells, and just show up as 3 extra icons on the level 3 page of their Priest spellbook. Interestingly, if your Stalker has selected some of the mage spells to learn and rested, you do not cast them from the spellcasting icon... instead they show up under your Stalker's special ability icon.

No they can't use Mage wands & scrolls, same as other Rangers. (Although they can exploit the same bugs/loopholes accessible to all characters for scroll usage.)

Can stalkers use the wand of magic missile, though? I seem to remember a game where Jaheira and Keldorn could use this wand, but Minsc couldn't, but that might have to do with a INT of 6.

I could have sworn that wands were dependant on INT.

Wands of Sleep and Fear are also usable by non-Wizards and Bards, IIRC.

Just some random trivia that the Stalkers Haste Spell is blocked my your allies Magic Resistance! (not good for Skeletal Warriors ;) )

IIRC fear and sleeps wands are only usable by mage types and priest types (wizard/bard/cleric/druid)
